A friend has been offered a van to use for his dog rescue centre. He is in England. The van is in need of work and has no tax or MOT and so is currently uninsured. It is at present in the possession of the people who have offered it to him and he is considering getting it brought to him on a trailer or transporter. If my friend accepts this kind offer and keeps the van on the drive of his house whilst he is awaiting its repair and subsequent tax and MOT will he be breaking the law because the vehicle will be uninsured during that time?
