Gypsie asked:
I have a 9 month old Springer Spaniel I can no longer take care of. I need to find him a new home but I don’t want to take him to a kennel or rescue centre like the RSPCA. I couldn’t bare to leave him in a kennel. I want to be able to vet the person who takes him and make sure myself that they are suitable owners. Does anyone know of a good web site to advertise him on or have any good ideas about finding him a new home without having to leave him in kennels? I’m in North West area UK.
Can you put animals on ebay??

Check in your area for a Springer rescue group. Rescues are usually very stringent on their placement and probably will foster him unti he finds a home.
I wouldn’t advertise online, however, but the rescue will probably have a website and they can put him on there for you. Try these:
as was said go to springer rescue, or champdogs their are breeders on there more than willing to help,i learned through personally experience of re homing a pet that people aren’t always honest, and i would never give my pet to rspca as i think they are not that good.and if you do re home yourself i would vet the people and home,as you know springer’s are lively and need lots of exercise.
No, I’m pretty sure the sale of live animals is prohibited on eBay.
You can always go to It’s free to post and you can put it on a small area, like just your city. I had a springer spaniel and loved him. I wish I could take him, but I just got a puppy from a shelter. Good Luck!
