I have adopted three bassets from basset rescues and will always be grateful for the special care they give each dog and how they try to place the right dog with the right person or family. My last basset was rescued from a downstate Illinois puppy mill. She is only three years old but has had her share of puppies already. She is a wonderful dog - so glad to be in a forever home and she is settling in nicely. I always recommend going to rescue groups. You are saving the life of someone very special!
