go onto web search there are different types of dog rescue try yorkshire terrier rescue for example
Dont be so snobbish, go to your local dog rescue and look for a dog thats the right size and you like.
I rescued an old jack Russle mongoral and he was the best thing I ever did
Yes, check any search engine, you should be able to find a rescue centre for the particular type of dog you are looking for. also, contact your nearest Dogstrust, they might be able to point you in the right direction.
Also, look at…they have a ‘Rescue Central’ section where you can search for centres in your area.
There are plenty of breed specific rescues, i have 2 weimaraners that have come from the weimaraner rescue and we had a great dane from the great dane rescue, just search on the net and you should be able to find something, failing that, try your local rspca etc, they will more than likely have what you are looking for.
Well done for thinking about getting a rescue dog rather than go to a puppy farm etc.
Good luck!
yes there are rescue centres that deal specifically in pure breeds but you will have to be prepared to be vetted and your home to be vetted as well. it will also depend on WHO old you want the dog to be and weather you want a b\\\\ or dog either way they will insist on it being neutered as most rescues don’t allow you to breed from there dogs.but please be aware that rescue dogs can be hard work to start with but once you have won there trust they will reward you with loyalty and love and companionship its well worth it
good luck and ignore the people that call you a snob pure breeds need just as much help to find new homes
Try this link.
Many of the breeds have their own rescue clubs or centres. The vet may know what is in your area or try googlingBy the way FEERMEE…..it is usual in England to use the term pedigree for purebred so there is no need to be rude.
If you are in the USA, this link will help:
If you are in the UK – try this link:

Where in the world are you?
Yes there are lots of rescue centres for all types of pedigree dogs. I suggest you contact the club/association of the breeds you are interested in ( the Kennel Club should be able to help with this) and they will give you the contact details. There are sometimes more than 1 rescue centre located at different parts of the country, so good luck !!
There are breed rescues for all breeds of dogs. The Kennel Club has a booklet that lists all the rescues phone numbers.
Epupz.co.uk also has lists of breed rescues.
