I only have experience with staffies. They are great. I’m still suspicious of rotties. I’d be cautious.

No, but every rottie I have known is a great dog.
They get along with big and small dogs, and one even plays with cats, silly rottie!!
They are excellent dogs, they will let you in to the yard, but not out. Too funny to watch!!
    I say go for it!!

Make sure the Staff is neutered. Maybe get a female Rott. If you train both and are good at being in charge then they should be fine together. How is the Staff with other dogs?

Not all dogs love puppies. Try to find out how the Staff is with pups before getting one. Get him into classes to help his confidence and to see how he reacts to other dogs.

Staffordshire Bulls are neat dogs, some are very dog aggressive some are not. Am Staffs same thing, some are great with other dogs, some are not.

But both have possibilities for dog aggression, so do Rotts.

But with training and strong leadership, strong breeds can live in harmony.

…both my adult Rotts accept my new Rott puppy…I read up on dog psychology and am very much the Alpha in my pack…what I say, goes and everyone gets along after I supervised them meeting and watched over them getting to know each other…my entire male loves to play with the pup and they have great fun…my ***** is also fine with the pup although doesnt play so much…whatever breeds you have, they are dogs first, then breeds…

Even though he seems soppy it’s likely he would fight with a male rottie.

Get a female rottie pup.Have him neutered and her spayed and they should get on fine.

yeah they can but make sure they’re both good with other dogs thought.

Most people are saying no becuase of the rotties name and staffies they’re used for fighting yeah but they are extremely good breeds of dogs good for the family if they weren’t good dogs why are they both working dogs then egh?

    GO FOR IT!!!!!!

Your ********** staffie has more than likely got what is classed as a low energy field. Apparantley there are 4 types:- low, medium, high very high. If you are prepared to put in the time and effort to be a strong pack leader ther is no reason why two strong breeds cannot live together in harmony although i’d advise you to get a Rottie with a low energy level to make it a little bit easier for you. For more info read the book Cesar’s Way. It is the guy who stars in the Dog Whisperer. The book is really insightful and has helped me a lot with my two dogs.

I work in a kennels and find both breeds lovely. There have been a few cases where we have had Rottweilers and Staffies sharing the same kennels and they have been absolutely fine together. Believe it or not we also had 2 Rottie’s and a Shitzu in one kennel and the Shitzu ruled the roost. I don’t see why you can mix these two breeds as long as you keep a close eye on them to start with and make sure they are ok before you leave them alone in the same room for a while.
I would also love a Rottweiler, they are one of my favourite breeds!
