The Superstarr
asked:
I have a very active (female rescue dog, we don’t know her exact age, but were told she is between 10-12, but acts much, much younger) , who can run and play easily, and has no health problems. She is a very friendly, docile dog. She is left alone from about 8:30 am until 3:30 pm, and walked about 4 miles every weekend. Would you recommend getting a (female) puppy?? Would they be ok left alone 3 days a week?? Thanks

i have 2 dogs. one is an Airedale terrier and she is 2.5 years old. And the other one is a cockapoo and she just turned 1.
i wouldn’t have left the younger one alone with the older one a year ago because they usually chew stuff up and destroy things, and also they would have to go to the bathroom.
but if it is possible could u hire a dog walker in the middle of the day around 11:00am or 12:00 pm just for about a year. or if it is even possible u could come home for a bit.
Bless you! for thinking ahead. Our old female rescue dog HATED cats and would chase them relentlessly, yet when we found a stray kitten one rainy night on our doorstep, she nuzzled and licked it, and was happy to take good care, so I wld say get a puppy and all will be well
We have 6 dogs at present, the eldest is a 9 year old Labrador and the youngest a 16 week Hungarian Vizsla. All the dogs get on really well, the older Lab. does have a growl when the pup gets too much and he puts her in her place. If you decide to get another b*tch make sure that they get on two b*tches can fight quite severely. We have 2 dogs and 4 b*tches and if a fight tries to start it is usually between the girls. I think that they would be ok left together and would keep each other company.
