My sister is going to buy a rescued puppy and i was wondering what medium sized puppy breed would be best? she already has a short haired cat, and 2 pom dogs. what would be the best for all 3 animals. we were thinking a mix with beagle in it would that be good? Thanks!

beagles are great. the breed itself doesnt matter just the temperment of the individual dog and the temetrments of her pets.

yes anything with a little beagle in it would be great my aunt has one and there great with kids and other dogs just make sure the new addition to your family is socialized

breed doesn’t matter… any dog can be bad or good.. it will take training.. my mini rott hates cats, but when we got one, the first time she was smacked… we then had no problem…

its NOT the breed.. its the training and personality

Yeah, a Beagle, or Basset Hound would be a good choice. Both are good with other pets and kids.

I would say tell her to get a
    beagle or jack russel terrier
    cocker spaniels are also ok
and they are all very cute

if you want a mix there is a
mix with both beagle and the jack russell terrier
its adorable and doestnt get that big
    another cute mix is
    a beagle and a pug (a puggle)
    its sooo cute and sweet
look at some pics online and decide
another way to see what dog fits you
    is to go online
    to this link:

follow the instructions and answer the questions
this is a quiz to show which breed
    fits your personality!
i hope you guys find the perfect dog!!!0

In general, the breed isn’t the most important consideration in choosing which rescue dog will do well with cats – or other small breed dogs. You want a dog that has demonstrated that it gets along well with cats and small dogs.

But ANY breed of puppy should be fine as far as getting along with the dogs and the cat already in the home. I have a Newfoundland/Lab mix and he gets along great with my tiny MinPin – and both are rescue dogs.
