I actually looked a little more specifically and found a Bulldog rescue in West Sussex. Not sure how far away his is from where you are, but hopefully it’s close enough that you might want to check it out

When I looked I didn’t see any older english bulldogs up for adoption right now, but that could change any minute, so I’d try right here.

Hi JC, I.ve never owned a bulldog but I have met many – lovely breed. I think they need a ‘special’ understanding more than most dogs. Check here I’m sure you will find what you are looking for. Many ‘older’ dogs end up in rescue because their owners became ill etc.
get in touch with animal welfare and yr local dog wardens they should be able to put you intouch with the kennels which pick up strays and unwanted/abanded dogs that need rehoming good luck with yr search be prepared for maby abit of searching but when you see the dog you want you’ll no xx
no info to give you but i just want to say good on you for getting a rescue animal
dogs trust in shoreham or the website take the quiz and they see if they have a dog suitable or if a suitable dog comes in they will contact you.
