Shelley asked: I rescued a 7 month old corgi/lab puppy from an abusive home and am having a little trouble trying to figure out what to do in order to change his bad habits. I already have a fantastic, well-trained and well-adjusted 9 month old collie/pit puppy and he and the new pup get along great. It always makes me wonder how they ended up that way.Some slightly luckier strays might end up in shelters or getting rescued by a compassionate person. Not all dogs end up in shelters because they werenecessarily “bad” [...] Gillyahoo asked: Our rescue dog is so sweet and she is coming out of her shell day by day. She was an ex breeder though and so had no idea of normal dog things – like a walk, or food or sit, playing etc. Now walks great on a lead, plays, waves (!), understands food [...] alicia asked: Any advice would be gratefully appreciated! ladywiccana asked: We only have a small back yard and it is well fenced and secure with slabs down and a raised garden, I hope to rehome a rescue dog in the next couple of months, I’m worried in case this will go against me in the home visit! |
