Yes, i have 3 labs and they are great, but it all depends on what the dog has been through, if it is in foster care, age ect. ask to see the dog in there current inviorment to see personality and how it reacts in different situations.

depends what its crossed with, but labradors are grest family dogs

It depends on what they’re crossed with. Also, how an animal has been treated is as important as the breed. You need to research as much as possible about the particular dog you are adopting.

Yes and no Labradors are great dogs, but crossed can be a very different kettle of fish. If you are fond of your existing furniture then i would say don’t get it, if you are not bothered then go ahead. Good luck

Lab crosses can be great pets. As a rescue you won’t know it’s history so be extra gentle and aware of what is going on with the dog.
All my pets for 30 years have been rescues and even those with ‘problems’ have turned into great pets in my care.

labs have a great sense of smell and they are energetic and they are friendly and can be trained to be calm

I got a lab cross from a rescue and she had been starved at one point, and now will over eat if I let her, and I cant feed her by hand because she snatches food right out of your hand and she will get your fingers if there in the way. She also chewed on everything, like my linolium floore, and she would get in the trash and eat my sons dirty diapers and spred garbage from one room to another. just be very educated on the particular dog you are rescueing.

yes they can be wonderful pets but please be aware that the dog may have some behaviour problems(that is why so many end up in kennels because the owners give up) you would really benefit from enrolling in a local dog training school or group and take all the advice that the rescue centre gives you.Training your dog is the single most important thing you can do for it .I have a rescue dog and it took nearly 2 years of hard (very!!) work to get him ok and now he is a wonderful gentle family pet and we love him …if your prepared for the work involved you will be fine.Just remember that your instincts will be to spoil it rotten when you get it home and this might not be the best thing for your dog.Read up and get some advice from the rescue before you bring your dog home and I wish you loads of luck!….and be prepared.

ANY dog is a good family pet. It depends entirely on how they are trained, looked after, excersized etc.
It will also depend on what the labrador is crossed with, how old, what it’s background is.
